Student Intern Program Since 1987, the Nebraska Society has awarded intern scholarships to outstanding Nebraska youth interning for the U.S. Government in the Greater Washington, D.C.-area. These scholarships range from $500 to $2,500 and are used to offset the cost of living in Washington, D.C. Traditionally, these internships have been served within the Halls of Congress, for Senators and Congressmen representing Nebraska. However, the scholarship is not limited to only this type of service. Nebraska Society scholarships may be awarded to any youth provided the length of the internship is at least four (4) weeks, the internship is served within the U.S. Government, and the recipient has demonstrated strong Nebraska ties.
