Since 1876, the Nebraska Society of Washington, D.C. has sought to strengthen cultural and patriotic ties, binding Nebraskans living in the Washington D.C. area, and to promote the welfare of Nebraska, its citizens, traditions, and institutions. Today, the Society is one of the strongest and most vibrant state organizations in the Nation's Capital.
