June 2007 Congressional Reception

The Nebraska Society honored the Nebraska Congressional Delegation and their staff for their public service to the State of Nebraska at a reception in the Rayburn House Office Building on June 12.

More than 100 people attended the event, including Senator Hagel, Senator Nelson, Congressman Terry, Congressman Fortenberry and Congressman Smith. Many Congressional staff and Nebraska Society members and patrons were also in attendance.

Senator Nelson, Honorary Chair of the Nebraska Society for 2007, acted as emcee for the evening and introduced the 2007 Nebraska Society Student Intern Scholarship recipients. Each Member of the Delegation also spoke briefly and introduced their staff and interns during the reception.

Nebraska Society President, Cory Colhouer, wrapped up the reception by thanking Senator Nelson for acting as emcee and mentioned upcoming Society activities and events.
