Nebraska Society of Washington Selects Michelle Wiedel as 2009 Cherry Blossom Princess The Nebraska Society of Washington, D.C., congratulates our 2009 Nebraska Cherry Blossom Princess, Michelle Wiedel. Please check back to this page for details on an upcoming reception to honor Michelle! Michelle Wiedel is currently a senior at University of Nebraska-Lincoln obtaining dual degrees in Business and Journalism, majoring in Marketing and Advertising. Michelle was selected as Miss Czech USA in 2007 and spent her reign traveling to many public forums. She got to meet the Czech president, was the founder of the Arizona pageant, and received many awards because of her works. She was selected as a Homecoming candidate last fall for her leadership in campus activities and her academic record. She spent the winter of 2009 studying and interning abroad in London. Her parents are Kevin and Joan Wiedel of Hebron, Nebraska.
