ABOUT US The Nebraska Society of Washington DC traces its roots back to 1876 and exists to strengthen cultural and patriotic ties binding persons that reside in the Washington DC metropolitan area who by virtue of birth or residence maintain ties to the State of Nebraska. This is accomplished through sponsorship of social events as well as assisting students wishing to intern for government or non-government organizations in the Washington DC area. The Nebraska Society of Washington DC is a tax exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and classified as a public charity under 509(a)(1) and 170(b)(1)(A)(vi) of Internal Revenue Code.
