1992 Distinguished Nebraskans Award Recipient Roger Lee Welsch Roger Welsch has provided his readers and viewers with decades of entertainment through his thoughts on the folk life of rural Nebraska. His tractor series, including Love, Sex, and Tractors, remains a favorite as does his cookbook, Diggin’ In and Piggin’ Out. In addition, his “Postcards from Nebraska” remains a feature on CBS’s Sunday Morning. Welsch grew up in Lincoln and studied, and later taught, at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He now lives on a small tree farm outside Dannebrog, Nebraska. Back to list
