1971 Distinguished Nebraskans Award Recipient

Mrs. Adams Bromley Sheldon

Olga Sheldon spearheaded the efforts to build the Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus using the funds from a trust developed by Olga’s late husband, Bromley, and his sister, Mary Frances Sheldon.  The building opened in 1963 and houses a comprehensive collection of American paintings and sculptures.
