Edd H. Bailey
Starting in the railroad car repair shop, Edd Bailey worked his way up through the industry to become president of Union Pacific Corporation. At 18, Bailey worked for 38 cents an hour in a repair shop in Cheyenne, Wyoming. More than two decades later, he was superintendent of the Nebraska and Wyoming divisions. Bailey served as president of the Omaha institution from 1965 to 1971.
