Arjay Miller
As one of Ford Motor Company’s “whiz kids,” Arjay Miller helped restore the car manufacturer’s popularity with Americans. The Shelby native became president of Ford in 1963 and vice chairman in 1968, the same year he was awarded the Distinguished Nebraskan Award. The next year, Miller left Ford for Stanford University, where he served as dean of the business school for 10 years.
